Immigrations tops Graves town hall meeting
Congressman Sam Graves will host a town hall meeting on immigration at 6 p.m. Thursday at the North Kansas City Community Center at Armour Road and Iron Street.
Graves, a Republican who represents Missouri’s 6th District, will be joined by Jerry Nolte, a Republican state representative from Gladstone, and Kris Kobach, a law professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and chairman of the Kansas Republican Party.
Nolte has sponsored legislation that would block illegal immigrants from attending any state-run college or university in Missouri. Kobach, who often speaks on immigration law, ran unsuccessfully for the Kansas 3rd District congressional seat in 2004.
The three will answer questions from the public.
