KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City School District Superintendent Anthony Amato is on his way out, sources told KMBC Thursday.
The School Board is taking steps to get rid of Amato and is asking someone to come in and take over for him, the source said.
In December, a group of community leaders released copies of a complaint filed against Amato by a former Amato chief of staff. In it, Amato is alleged to have called school board members Marilyn Simmons and Helen Ragsdale a derogatory term.
