How I am voting on the Amendments and Propositions |
|
I am voting "no" on Prop A, KC Star and STL Post Dispatch recommend this and I do not like how it allows unlimited losses. Not good for those with gambling addictions.
I will vote "yes" on Prop B, good for the disabled.
I will vote "yes" on Prop C, which will help MO go green.
"No" to all the judges as it appears Baby Blunt liked them all.
On Amendment 1 I will vote "no" because I think it is unnecessary to make English an official language. The KC Star in recommending a no vote stated the following: "Lawmakers have not reported any known instances of state or local government business being conducted in a foreign language. Or in tongues, for that matter. Or Pig Latin. Or even Yoda-speak. Missouri already has a law that recognizes English as the "common language." That ought to be enough."
I will vote "yes" on Amendment 4 because the KC Star supports it and because it is over my head.

As I understand it, Kansas City schools receive no money and do not benefit.
We have been bombarded in KC with ads featuring teachers begging for this to be passsed.
Eliminating the loss limits for the Kansas City casinos is too great a price to pay even if KC schools did benefit, and I'm afraid this will lead to more crime in our area.
Once again, KC voters have been conned.
