Conrad, Conrad, Conrad.... Pleading no connections to Abramoff but the evidence just keeps piling up. what are we gonna do with you?
Included in a 48-page packet of information that Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Mont., has distributed to Montana media attempting to show that disgraced former lobbyist Jack Abramoff did not hold sway over Burns is a 2001 Washington Times column by Peter Ferrara.
The column upholds a view held by Abramoff clients that the U.S. government should not intervene in the immigration and labor laws of the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory near Guam.
In December, Ferrara confirmed he'd taken payments from Abramoff to write complimentary columns about the lobbyist's clients.
It's not clear which columns Ferrara wrote for hire, but in 2001 Abramoff netted more than $1 million to defeat the kind of intervention Ferrara opined against.
Does Conrad Burns have a whole lot to answer to? Do bulls shit in Montana?
