I am very afraid.

Where were the groups lobbying against this legislation?
I know law enforcement was against this bill.

I asked my banker if the banking industry was taking
a stand and he gave me the old line, "bad guys already have guns....

2. Considering how only two states in the nation + D.C. do NOT have

provision for licensing the law-abiding to carry firearms, with no ill effect, I wouldn't be worried. You've just joined Massachusetts, California, Washington, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Vermont. Maine's CCW law is similar to yours and they have the lowest violent crime rate in the entire nation.

The people who carry out violence with firearms don't feel the need for permits to carry and probably couldn't get one if they wanted to. Unless you think your local armed criminal is going to show up at the police station to be fingerprinted, have his background checked by the FBI, and take a written test on Nebraska law...
