Poll question: What district are you in? |
|
Edited on Fri May-19-06 09:43 AM by TheFarseer
I was also wondering if people are planning on doing anything to help our candidates for Congress or any other races. And maybe you could share some fun stories from previous campaigns. Thanks!
on edit, I won't yell at you if you're not doing anything :) I probably won't do anything beyond try to get my friends to vote.

1. I don't think I have the stomach to work for Ben Nelson. |
|
I know it's important even if he is a DINO, but I really can't stand the man. I have to admit I am really burned out personally, politically & emotionally right now. Things have kinda sucked in my life since the first of the year and I am having trouble getting psyched to get to work on political campaigns.

It seems like every time I turn around in the last few months I've been smacked with more bad news or more stress. I am ready for things to turn around. I know that it will end, but it has been tough!

6. I can understand a bush republican representing us |
|
but why such a dumb-ass? Terry just strikes me as not a smart guy at all. Alot of republicans I don't agree with but at least I think they are smart people. Why did we elect the Midwest's answer to Jeff Sessions?

7. Who the hell knows? His pappy was Lee Terry, the bigshot reporter who |
|
had an afinity for imbibing liquid beverages big time. And that little brain dead geek with his Miss America wife (who you will notice used to be in our faces all the time but now is never seen) and his daddy's friends ends up being a real plague on this red neck backward state. As if it didn't have enough problems already.

8. I can't claim to know much about the Terry family, but |
|
I have heard stories about how pappy would go to little league games drunk and make an ass out of himself.

9. I'm out here in the 3rd District |
|
For some reason the poll link won't register for the 3rd District - probably can't believe there are any Dems out here.
Anyhootie, out here in the 3rd Scott Kleeb sounds like an interesting candidate - and Adrian Smith sounds like another Lee Terry, sans wife and kids.
There is a strong independent, populist bent out in this end of the state. Honest, really there is. If Kleeb can raise the money - or garner the connections - to get his message out, the rancher with the first-rate education has a chance of being a contender.
And, of course, we are all pulling for Maxine even if we can't vote for her. She's fabulous, connects well with people of all ages and backgrounds and should make a good run at it.
