The Nebraska State Fair may be moving from Lincoln to Grand Island. What do you think? Is this just a swift political move, because the Lancaster Event Center and the State Fair Board can't get along? Is this the University ousting the fair - to get what they want?
What do you think?
I am ready to say goodbye to the fair, I haven't enjoyed it for several years. If it is to be an agricultural event, let it be in ag country.
I guess we'll see soon enough.

The move will essentially kill the state fair. It will never be the same. It seems really unwise to move it to the middle of the state. There's no population out there. Sure they may support it a couple of days, but not the full two weeks. I know a lot of people are saying this, but I can safely say I won't drive to Grand Island for the fair.
I don't know about anyone else, but I hate the Lancaster Event center. Who in their right mind builds an event center and doesn't pave the floor? Seriously, that place is a pit.
