Will any of our reps vote against CAFTA? |
|
Of course Fortenbury will do whatever bush tells him to do. Terry has some mind of his own but I believe he will follow orders. Osborne is no corporate whore. I believe he cares about ordinary working Nebraskans. I also believe he is suceptible to hype and will often times buy into their lies because he just doesn't know any better. I wrote him tonight about CAFTA because I believe he might be persuaded by a massive letter writting/e-mail/phone campaign. I encourage every Nebraskan to write Tom and tell him to say NO to CAFTA Any thoughts from the other two Nebraskans on DU :)

1. I don't know what to think of Osborne. |
|
Fortenberry (my rep UGHHH!) is bought and paid for by big business interests.
I'll join you in writing letters. I'll write to all three. CAFTA is bad business for labor everywhere and particularly bad business for the US.
Question: Is Nebraska included in the sugar protections (sugar beets)? Talk about special interests! Sheesh.
Let me know when you've got your letters off. I'll do the same.

I'll also call when the debate heats up again. Maybe I should write Terry also. Jeffy is a waste of time but you can try if you want! I don't know anything about any sugar protection. I know Nebraska is a big sugar beet state.

3. Possibly it is a waste of time. |

But keeping mum hasn't done any good either  I think I'll waste some time.
