Nevadans: Please ask Harry Reid to require Republican Senators... |
|
...who are running for election to vote for the bailout before Democratic Senators do.
John McCain (R-AZ) and Norm Coleman (R-MN) and John E. Sununu (R-NH) should all have to vote for this unpopular legislation first.

2. Could you phone his office so at least an assistant is aware of the sentiment... |
|
...that Republican Senators running for election should have to vote for this?

3. Sure, they've got great voice mail . . . |
|
Tell you what - I'll email Dina Titus (D - state senate, running for the House against John Porter right now - she teaches polsci at UNLV) and ask her to talk to Harry. Probably get a better response that way - or at least the knowledge that he might actually HEAR the sentiment!
Harry is as unresponsive a pol as has come down the pike in awhile. I enjoy screwing around with his automated email - pick a "subject" like Yucca Mountain and then actually comment on a different subject, like education. Sometimes they catch it, but most of the time they only look at the subject line, so the automated response (assuming you get one, which recently is a big assumption) gives you the standard "I care what you think" line - but for something other than you wrote about.
Yes, I'm easily amused . . .
