Protest John Snow in Reno TUESDAY MORNING |
|
Sorry for the short notice, but outsourcing enthusiast Secretary of Treasury John Snow is visiting Reno tommorrow and there will be a protest. Anyone that can make it should try to go. Groups like Democracy for Nevada and ACT will be there and need your help.
People are gathering at 9:00 am. at Weingand Center, 165 W. Liberty Street.
Signs about the economy, a living wage, stopping the outsourcing of American jobs, or unemployment are encouraged. There will likely be extra signs for people without the time to make their own.

I'm stuck on the Coast...wish I could be there with ya. But have a powerful day anyway, it's a worthwhile effort for certain.
You know, I'm more and more impressed with you folks over there. The city has changed tremendously over the years...many many more movers and shakers, more progressive movements than I would have ever dreamed possible. Keep up the good work!

They bring you coastal people over here all the time. If you're in the Bay Area, you can probably find people to get you to Reno to work for groups like Democracy For Nevada and ACT, almost certainly get a free room out of the deal, and probably free food for most or all of your time here. Moveon just called me to let me know they are going to hit the ground here and they are looking for help, but unfortunatly my time is already overbooked. I met a Dem for California that was walking the same precinct I was walking last weekend. Come on over and help us GOTV. E-mail me if you want help getting rides, rooms, contacts, or info. Vegas needs even more bodies than Reno from what I am hearing, so if you're south you should get over there.
