While Democrat Harry Reid and Republican John Ensign profess to have a working friendship that crosses party lines in the U.S. Senate, cracks in the relationships between Nevada's House members appear to be growing wider.
Democrat Shelley Berkley complained earlier this year that she was excluded from a meeting Republicans Jim Gibbons and Jon Porter set up with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff about Las Vegas grants.
The latest episode involves bagels and orange juice.
Gibbons and Porter are starting a weekly breakfast for Nevada visitors to Washington. On Wednesday mornings, tourists and others with business in the capital can chat with the lawmakers and their staffs and have their pictures taken. Berkley was not invited to take part.
