I am speaking in Concord on Friday, March 3rd |
|
At this event:
===
It's the Annual Potluck Dinner of the Concord City Democrats!
March 3, 2006, at 6 pm
IBEW Hall, 48 Airport Road
Admission- $17.76 (both a famous date and an approximation of Concord's latest living wage). It's a simple potluck - bring sandwiches to share, we'll have the 'dry' beverages there.
Our Guest - WILLIAM RIVERS PITT
William Rivers Pitt, Editorial Director for the Progressive Democrats of America, is a New York Times and internationally bestselling author of two books: War in Iraq - What Team Bush Doesn't Want You to Know and The Greatest Sedition is Silence. He is the lead writer for the alternative daily news magazine truthout.org, and served for a time as Press Secretary for the Dennis Kucinich for President campaign. He lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts
Mark your calendars! Send your check to:
Concord City Democrats PO Box 1641 Concord, NH 03302
...or pay at the door - we'll have nickels and pennies ready.
===
It'd be great if some NH DUers made the scene. :)

I tend not to gravitate toward the egotistical self-promoters, so regrettably I'll be elsewhere. :eyes:

It really would have sucked for you to meet the Concord Dems, Paul Hodes who was there (running against Bass), and several members of the Swing the Vote contingent who helped flip Cheshire County in 2004. You might have actually met people who could help your activism.
Can't have that.

Wish I had known.
On edit: Regrettably only one person was mentioned in the announcement.

6. Regrettably, the one person was the only one I was sure of |

You have to show up to see who shows up.
Or you can stay home and snark on the 'net.
Guess you made your choice.

7. Wow ! I hope you have some first hand experience |
|
you are using as a basis for your post and are not just being arbitrarily antagonistic. Frankly not much goes on in the NH section of DU and for those who are periodically checking to see if there are any local events its appreciated to see them listed.
