I am psyched to see that she won. I'm even more pleased to see that Craig conceded gracefully and has announced his support of her campaign. There's also an awesome commentary on last nights turn of events: http://www.capitalwatch.net/eagle/eagle091206.html

Good news for those of us left of the center left. As I told a fellow dem this morning, better to run left and lose than run center and win the election but lose the battle.

That is the dumbest thing. If you lose, then a Republican wins, a Republican who will vote against choice, against a minimum wage increase, against environmental protection, against children's health insurance, against a lot of things, hurting real people so that you can feel ideologically pure. Every long march starts with one step, dude.

Bradley's afraid of Carol - as he should be. She's hardly the "left leaning" "fringe" radical that the GOP (and some of the rightwing Dems) are trying to portray her as. I nearly spit coffee all over my car when I heard Bradley saying that universal health care and ending the war now are not mainstream positions. If Bradley ever spoke to anyone who isn't a Republican or a millionaire, he'd be aware that most people think universal health care is a fine idea.
