Good God! Democratic tidal wave in New Hampshire!

Bradley and Bass both defeated. Lynch re-elected with 74%. The legislature goes Democratic. My God, what happened!?

2. There was a funny article in the paper after the election.

Democrats have been out of power in New Hampshire since about 1912 and none in office have a clue what to do now that we're in charge! Fortunately, we are the party of the snooty and over educated, so I'm sure we'll figure it out.:rofl:

4. I was speaking to some state reps at an NHCLU function...

Saturday night, at the NHCLU's annual "Bill of Rights"
dinner, I had the opportunity to speak with some (long
term) Democratic state reps and while I wouldn't go so
far as to say "none in office have a clue what to do now",
there is some scrambling around to try to figure out procedures
for, for example, filling the committee chairs in the State
House and Senate.

And the Nashua Telegraph reported that, in the
State Senate, some of the committees will likely still
be chaired by friendly Republicans, owing to the large
number of committees and only 14 (of 24) Democrats.

3. What Happened?

The Governor is very, very popular, the Demcoratic Party was very much organized, the state senate campaign was headed up by Raymond Buckley, who is a genius, the congressional candidates were excellent, the Republican Party basically doesn't exist as an organized entity, and George Bush is wicked unpopular.
