SEABROOK, N.H. --Voters in at least 50 towns will vote on a global warming initiative this spring.

Town voters are being asked to support the New Hampshire Climate Change Resolution, which calls for reductions in greenhouse gas pollution and other steps to slow global warming.

The initiatives are nonbinding, but results will be sent to potential candidates for president and Congress by the Carbon Coalition. The bi-partisan group wants to make global warming a top issue in the 2008 presidential primaries.
The effort is modeled on a similar grassroots campaign against acid rain in the 1980's.
