Your guys voted for Kerry and got ride of a GOP governor. Why did Dorothy Haddock do so poorly against Judd Gregg? Granted, I don't know much about Gregg, but I hear is pretty conservative unlike the other Northeastern RINOs (Chaffee, Snowe, etc.) So, is Gregg not that bad? How did he win a blue state by a landslide during a presidential year?

1. because he has a strong base |
|
and Granny D was a novelty candidate. While I appreciated her positions, and I voted straight ticked, so I voted for her, her candidacy was underfunded and treated as a joke by the media.

2. Also, she is not exactly a spring chicken. Had the great fortune to |
|
hear her speak a couple of time during the election. She was extremely eloquent but came across as very physically fragile.

she has at least one son.
NH doesn't do a good job of nurturing candidates along from the minor leagues - that's something we need to change, in order to have a steady stream of ready candidates.

12. The media never had a question |
|
in their mind. They endorsed Gregg with things like "even though he is a foot-soldier for Bush in the Iraq Debacle.."
What a friggin joke.

In the debate between Lynch and Benson, Benson made fun of Lynch for supporting Haddock. He was laughing and saying how it shows what a partisan Lynch is and sarcastically said, "Yeah Granny D will really be an effective senator." How classless. Even though I know nothing about NH politics, I'm glad that Benson is gone.

10. I worked for the campaign |

And I can tell you that we simply didn't have the money to beat that whore Gregg. Doris didn't take any PAC money, so we got the shaft, raised a total of about 60K, and Gregg had more than a million.
We took 34%, 221,000 votes, with only a small grass roots organization. If we had raised the kind of money he did, Doris would be Senator Haddock now.
