Another campaign finance fiasco!?!? |
|
Looks like Justin Nadeau has run afoul of campaign finance laws. John DiStaso reports in today's "Granite Status" column:
"While former U.S. Senate candidate Burt Cohen continues to wrestle with missing funds from his now-defunct campaign committee, Democratic 1st District U.S. House candidate Justin Nadeau has another problem. The Federal Election Commission said that as of yesterday, he had still not filed his second quarter campaign finance report, six days after the deadline. His campaign yesterday was looking into what it called an electronic filing glitch".
This guy's treasurer is a former state attorney general, yet they can't get their report filed on time?
I don't buy this "the computer ate my homework" excuse. Bob Bruce, Travis Liles, Jeb Bradley, Bob Bevill, Paul Hodes and Charlie Bass all managed to report on time. I think Justin was either ignorant of the requirement that he file electronically, or he chose to ignore the law.
