some days the good guys win |

The minimum wage bill passed the House this morning, as did the hotly contested HB90, a bill regarding a certain racetrack in Tamworth, NH.
It was interesting to note that state GOP chair Warren Henderson was in the gallery at the House this morning watching the HB90 debate. I had no idea that this issue was as partisan and far reaching as it obviously is.
Anyhow - the good guys won twice in the same morning!!

Maxanne, with some of these jokers, EVERYTHING is partisan...even baseball.
A pair of Republicans managed to kill a resolution honoring the NH Fisher Cats for winning the Eastern League pennant last fall. Now, the fact that this resolution was sponsored by a certain Manchester Democratic state rep who is running against Jeb Bradley never, ever figured into their plans...
The most repulsive part of the F-Cat fiasco was that the Republican vice chair of the Legislative Administration Committee signed up to speak in support of the resolution, then used her time to trash the measure, leaving supporters with no one speaking for their side. It was a deceitful, bush-league stunt from a deceitful, bush-league legislator named Betsy McKinney.

Turning our national pastime into a partisan dispute is reprehensible. Shame on Bestsy McKinney.
I felt as though I needed to shower after spending a morning watching all the machinations. YIKES!
