When Parche comes to visit New York City

October 23rd and 24th, I will be organizing a DU meetup here in the city to welcome him.

On Friday evening we are planning to meet for Chinese food, and then go hang out in an Irish pub for the evening. :toast:

On Saturday plans to be determined. :)

1. Update:

We have a location!

Instead of having dinner in one place and then going out to drink in another, we found an Irish Pub with a really good full menu, so we're going to spend the entire evening having dinner and then hanging out in the Irish Pub.

We will be meeting here on Friday, October 23rd for a DU Meetup. Anyone is welcome.

I met with the manager, a very friendly Irish lass named Paula, and we talked about having the meetup there. This pub has a back room on the first floor that has room for plenty of us. It is wheelchair accessible. There is pretty wide variety of food on the menu, including a number of vegetarian choices (or choices that can be made vegetarian). She is happy to have groups come in and we are happy to hang out as long as we want. :)

2. DELAY for a few weeks.

Parche has some stuff keeping him at home right now that has to be dealt with before he can come to NYC. So we are delaying the meetup.

As soon as we know the new weekend I'll post it and PM people. It should be soon. :)
