Did Rupert Murdoch buy the Star-Ledger?

New Jersey's paper of record, The Star-Ledger, has been leaning right since editor Jim Wilse downsized the news room by two thirds. In today's headline above the fold on the right side the Ledger speculates: Obama plan could add to cost of premiums. The first paragraph resorts to the Fox News qualifier "some people are saying" in the form of "some analysts say."
I've been a Star-Ledger reader for over fifty years and now I'm seriously thinking of canceling my subscription.
The story is from AP, and I believe Murdoch is on AP's board of directors.
The Ledger was quick to cover Chris Christie's investigations of prominent Democrats just prior to elections and slow to explain why nothing became of them.
Should the Star-Ledger declare contributions in kind to the Republican Party?

1. I too noticed and was shocked by that headline.

Agree it was very Faux News-like. The AP, Murdoch connection is pretty tenuous though.

News coverage in general has been very slanted to support the insurance industry's status quo.

Check out the Asbury Park Press owned by Gannett for real slanted "journalism".

It's nothing more than a fucking rag. It used to be a bastion of truth and investigation, now it's simply a Reich-wing rag.
