Because after my lunch at Tecolote today I saw anti-Bush/anti war protesters on the corners of St. Francis and Cerrillos! I gave y'all a big thumbs up and a honk! :-)

Of course there were two or three Bush supporters there, too but they were VASTLY outnumbered!

I had a great lunch at the Tecolote community table today. This older lady had a baseball cap on with a K/E button. I told her I liked her button. She gave a BIG grin and thanked me...said she wears it everywhere she goes.

I asked her if she's encountered any resistance or problems while wearing the pin and she said something to the effect that "if I did, it'd be brief, because I'd tell those people a thing or two" :-) She was great and I loved her moxie.

Later in the afternoon I had a GREAT conversation with my across-the-street neighbor (we go to the same church too) about how the Christian Coalition has rendered the Republican party unrecognizable from what it used to be, and how K/E is the only hope for our country in this election. He sounded really disgusted with Ralph Reed, Falwell, Donald Wildmon, etc. And he was raised republican! He also expressed disgust with Bush's cabinet and how they needed to GO.

All in all a great day today :-)
