Anyone know how the Heather Wilson-Richard Romero race is going? |
|
Last I heard they were separated by a point or two.
BTW, anyone in Albuquerque, have you seen those "Heartless Heather Wilson" signs up around town? They seem to be everywhere! I love 'em. haha There's a website on them but I haven't caught it...

I love the 'Heartless Heather' signs. How anyone can take that woman seriously after her big ole crocodile tears over the Janet Jackson breast is beyond me. 'Boo hoo hoo, think of the children.' I guarantee that was the first time she ever gave a thought to America's children.
I haven't seen a new poll from this week.I've noticed that Heather is running double commercials all day and night long. I guess she hasn't figured out that some of us like it when she labels her opponent as a 'liberal.'
I saw Richard at a party this summer right before he was set to be governor for a couple of hours because Bill and everyone else in line were at the democratic party convention. I told him not to mess up too badly and he has a very nice laugh.

2. I'm in Albuquerque, as well, and I haven't seen a poll published |
|
However, I take heart from the fact that Heather Wilson (R-Cow) didn't know she'd won in 2000 until the weekend following the election. I have a feeling we may be getting rid of the horrible harpy this time.
Honestly, she runs a close second to DeLay as a pol I want to see humiliated at the polls. Her commercials are about the vilest things I've ever seen, alternately attacking and then whining that her opponent said mean things about her.
I want the bitch GONE, although I'm sure she'll turn up in DC as an overpaid lobbyist for the Carlyle Group.

Romero was ahead in the last race until the absentee ballots were included. This year dems have 25,000 absentee ballots vs. 18,000 for reps. The key is to make sure that ours get turned in and counted. We have an effective followup procedure in place this year. Its looking good for our side.
