AG says she will run against Wilson

WASHINGTON - New Mexico Attorney General Patricia Madrid announced today she will run against Rep. Heather Wilson, and she came out swinging.

Madrid said the Albuquerque Republican is part of an "unholy alliance" with President Bush and former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. Madrid, a Democrat, said their actions have led to deficit spending, higher gas prices and more jobs lost to foreign markets.

"I intend to seek election to Congress, because change is desperately needed in Washington," Madrid said in a statement.
