Moving back to New Mexico |
|
I am thinking of returning to Albuquerque this summer.
Would someone please talk me out of it or in to it?

We need more Dems here! Remember.... no humidity during those summer months. Sky that goes on forever. Fabulous cloudscapes. And...
CHILE.
mmmmm.... Green chile, tangy and piquant, rippling across the tastebuds as the heat starts to build. Red chile, warm and complex, engulfing the senses as the sweat pops out on the back of your neck. You miss it. You know you do. Come back. Breakfast burritos with tangy green chile and scrambled eggs and cheese and potatoes, hot in a fresh tortilla. Blue corn enchiladas drenched in smoky-rich red chile for lunch, with a hot, just-from-the-fryer sopapilla dripping with honey.
Stomach rumbling yet? (Damn, mine is...)
Hurry back!
enticingly, Bright

I live clear across the country, I would love to move back to NM....No good mexican food where I live, closet thing is a restaurant that thinks a tamale is filled with chicken, no sauce in the masa, just chicken and cornmeal wrapped in a husk, and they don't know what sopapillas are! Red chili is too hot for these people...when I visit family in NM I have to bring back enough staples like chili, tamales, etc to last a year.
