but your welcome. we've gone through some rough times - you probably wouldn't have liked us so much in the 70s and early 80s - but we clean up pretty well.....

3. actually, I thought Times Square was a little too corporate

Sometimes you can get overly cleaned up, y'know. Really, I just had a great time riding the subways and getting out and walking around different neighborhoods - everybody was really friendly and funny.

which is why i avoid times square like it were a republican - which in a way it is. there use to be a time when the grit of times square gave it its character, now that character comes curtesy of disney and the olive garden.

The days of the "gritty" and sticky Times Square are not so far away that I fondly recall the days of uber-sleaze yet!

Still, the new face of it takes some getting used to.
