Everyone says it is such a bad place, but I went there many times while doing social work with Head Start into the "bad areas" and met some great folks. Also did some work with migrant families there. Of course I wasn't hanging around in the middle of the night on the streets either. My friend is a guidance counsellor at the high school and loves it.
My husband, kids and I moved up to Maine last year. We miss the area, but couldn't afford it anymore.
