3. We will be there ......

Coming up from NC. I would love to meet up with some DUers but we will have two of our own children and our pre-teen niece in tow! We will come up on July 2nd and leave the morning of the 6th. I was hoping someone would be having a get together.

Though I know most New York DUers probably go to the Hamptons over the 4th,:silly: it would be fun to have a little get together, especially that DU Delegates from the Great States of Virginia and North Carolina will be in town. :party:

like you????? I am not sure where would be a good place to meet or what time. Not sure what places would welcome kids. Even though they are being raised in a heavily progressive home, they can still be obnoxious as 6 & 7 year olds are prone to be.

13. I know you are a tourist as well...

I was just doing the lazy thing. I have so much planning to do for the trip. It has been hard at my house because it flooded a little over a week ago. We kept about 80% of our clothing downstairs and when the workers came in they bagged everything up. We are left with about 20% of our clothing and not all of it fits or is something we might want to wear. Our floors are torn up and the dehumidifiers and blowers are still here making our house VERY hot - the temperature on the thermostat has been up above the highest number for over a week!!! (our AC is not working well)

The fact that they are still trying to dry out our house, after a week, tells you how wet it got. My life is just a little out of sorts with all of this going on and I just did not have the energy to look up the restaurants and try to do a get together.

Please email me before the 1st since we are leaving next Friday to go up. I am not sure I will have email access once I am in NY. The only thing I have set in stone is what we will be doing Sunday and Monday (July 2nd and 3rd). If you want to do a meet and greet, you are welcome to meet up with us at any time.

I hope we will get to meet each other.

Amtrak is so under-appreciated sometimes, even the NPN-NYP run's been slogging all week with the weather 'n' washouts. Just found out, I don't have to cancel! Bless their hearts.
