Newburgh lawmaker seeks support for universal health care

Goshen – Orange County Legislator Christopher Eachus of Newburgh says there’s a growing concern among citizens about the increasing costs associated with the nation’s current health care system. That’s why the first-term lawmaker is looking to raise a few eyebrows and send a message to Congress that the current plani s just not working.

During a year-end meeting in Goshen Wednesday, Eachus introduced a resolution memorializing Orange County’s support of a universal health care system for all Americans. According to him, the time for change has come.
