1. The crowd was huge

I tried to go, but the crowd was much too large for the venue and we couldn't get in. I took my two daughters, ages 13 and 11. We did at least get to see him as he was exiting his car and he waved to the crowd. There were thousands who did not get in - the crowd was very diverse and generally enthusiastic. There were some people who weren't too happy about standing around for hours and then not getting into the event. Not the best planning - but a good problem, I think. I hope it bodes well for November.

2. I wondered about this too, why not marshall park or another open area? This was more secure

for Obama, they can control people between the buildings better than they could in an open air environment.
