Barack Obama's campaign announces that he will hold a rally this weekend in Asheville. Obama will be in town practicing for his debate in Nashville next Tuesday, and his stop here in the mountains has people at his Asheville campaign office buzzing.
Campaign volunteers spent the day calling people to encourage them to register, and reaching out to people in more traditionally Republican areas.
Senator Obama plans to speak Sunday at 2:00pm at Asheville High School's Memorial Stadium. Gates will open at noon. The event is free and open to the public.
