Wow....... early voting in NC looks great so far! |

The North Carolina Board of Elections web site absolutely rocks! They get this thing updated so fast, I wonder how they do it. As of 9 pm tonight (Oct. 28) 1,623,107 people have early voted in NC! That represents 26% of the registered voters in the state. I was reading on other sites that we hoped to have 2 million early voters; looks like we'll make that number easily.
That number includes absentee ballots received, military ballots received, overseas ballots received, and "regular" early voting, which NC calls One-Stop. Of those One-Stop early voters, here are the numbers:
Democrats 835,172
Republicans 386,848
Unaffiliated 256,477
Libertarian 773
Those numbers look absolutely fantastic to me. People can still register to vote at early voting locations. There are now about 850,000 more registered Dems than Reps in North Carolina. Please please PLEASE, let North Carolina turn a bright shade of blue in exactly one week! Yes we can!
