I voted in Charlotte today |
|
On 7th St & Independence, at the CPCC building. I got there at 7:25 and was the 10th in line. By 8, the line had wrapped around the perimeter of the room and was well out the door. (And it was COLD this morning.) Everyone who came in had to read a little flyer about the stupid straight-party-not-including-president ballot. Everything went smoothly. I kept an eye on the "receipt" as it printed my selections.
Age-wise the crowd skewed younger -- maybe early 20s to mid-40s. Race-wise it was mostly black folks in line, at least during the time I was there.
Now I wish I could just sleep for the whole next week. I don't know what to do with myself.

1. I know what you mean. I voted a week ago. If you have time to volunteer, it's |
|
a good way to help out and you don't have to worry about having time to vote yourself now. :-)
