Friends, I am very excited to announce that Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois will be the keynote speaker at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on Saturday, April 24th.
If you have not already purchased your tickets, you can buy them online HERE.
In addition to being the senior Senator from Illinois, Senator Durbin also serves as the Assistant Majority Leader, also known at the Majority Whip. His Committee assignments include Appropriations, Judiciary, and Rules and Administration. A political mentor and close friend to President Obama, Durbin was the first U.S. Senator to endorse then-Senator Obama's candidacy for President.
He has fought tirelessly for working families and to improve public health throughout his distinguished career. Now, as the number two Democrat in the Senate, he is at the forefront of our Party's legislative efforts.
You can purchase your tickets to the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner to hear Senator Durbin speak by clicking HERE.
The Jefferson-Jackson Dinner is always an exciting evening and provides an excellent opportunity to mingle with Democrats from across the state and also support the NCDP.
We hope you will join us on Saturday, April 24th!
Sincerely,
David Young
Chairman, NCDP
