Why?
One reason:
http://www.elainemarshall.org/page/civil-rightsShe is for civil rights. She has a long history in this state of being for civil rights for all. That matters a lot to me.
Also, there is more information about her upfront willingness to go on the record about civil rights before the other candidates (and more forcefully, might I add) here:
http://pamshouseblend.com/diary/15869/ncus-senate-and-the-blend-endorsesOne of my other issues:
http://www.elainemarshall.org/page/energy-and-environmentShe is a strong advocate of greener policies and putting people to work in that field, which I think is the best way to support healing Earth. Unless there is a way to put some money and government effort behind it, it will remain a piecemeal effort by individual citizens. While that helps, until some real concerted effort by government and citizens is coordinated and implemented, we will continue to poison and pollute the place where we live. We kinda need Earth to live so we will have a place to live.
Those are my main two reasons. There are others, but those two really stand out to me. She's the best one of the bunch, imho.
