Well I checked the NC election site to |
|
see what kind of voting machine we are using ... ( I hate touch screens) and it is a paper ballot and OCR reader .... which is OK ... I really liked the old levers ... go into the booth .. pull the lever close the curtain make your selection and boom it is done and secure and easy .... sigh .... but I guess this is ok too .... I just like the lever voting booth better ....

in my county. Then again, my county is run by Democrats and they do take it seriously.
Recently, they DID add the electronic voting machines as an option, but ours are setup where you can get a paper receipt of how you voted. So, that's good.

And going early, you can scan it yourself. I don't know that they do that on election day. I've vote early for so long, I don't remember.
It's worked very well so far. I don't want touch screens until they can beef up the security and backup systems.
