the NC Democratic Party sent me a letter |
|
saying that when they reviewed the public voter file records, "we also noticed that you failed to vote in 2009 or in the 2010 May primary."
WTF??? i voted in both those elections. where did my votes go??

1. Eh, it's somebody's data entry error: the board of elections has |
|
lists from when you checked in to vote, and those eventually get entered into their database, in a process entirely separate from the process of counting your vote; then the parties get copies of the BOE records and massage their copies for their own purposes
As a volunteer who has sometimes done data entry and has sometimes made mistakes, I apologize on behalf of everyone who sometimes does data entry and sometimes makes mistakes
