But after last year's presidential election, the left wing of the local Democratic Party came to power. The "Kucinich Democrats" are now well-organized and have been exercising their power at the grass-roots level, by getting people elected to represent at the state Democratic Party's meetings and such. So we'll see.

Never heard it called AsheVegas. Hear WeaverVegas (Weaverville) used all the time.

"San Francisco East"

6. about 14 years ago in 1998

some kid migrated here, me illusion(roger), river, and a few other kids were hanging out on the square. he said how much he missed las vegas (his hometown) , so I told him just think of this as ashevegas. I went on to live in las vegas for 2 years myself, now I understand why his lament for having left paradise. this is how Ashevegas happened. this kid stayed in weaverville for a minute after here and they got the tag too.
