Is the "Good Night and Good Luck" movie going to be in Asheville? I don |
|
don't see it on the current movie listings and wondered if anybody knows if it will play here at all. They say it will play in "Limited release" which means pokey little ol Asheville usu sally does not get it. I wish Fine Arts would come thru on this one. They made a killing off F911.

1. It's not over here in Durham, either |
|
I thought maybe the Carolina theatre downtown or the Chelsea in Chapel Hill would have it, but not yet.

From what I saw on the movie's website, it is coming to Charlotte on Oct 21st. We can hope for other NC cities around then.
Somewhere (I can't recall the link) I asked to be notified by email when/if it comes to Asheville or somewhere close.
I'll post in this forum when I find out. I'm going to see it somewhere.... that's for sure.

3. I'm really looking forward to this one |

The reviews have been very positive.
Funny note about this one--test audiences' only complaint was that "the actor that played McCarthy was too over-the-top"--but in fact, all the scenes with McCarthy were archival footage.

5. Good Night and Good Luck |

apparently will be the closing film during the Asheville Film Festival, on the last evening, Sunday, October 30th. However, this particular showing is accompanied by a closing reception, bumping the price of admission. You can get the particulars on AshevilleFilmFestival.com, or wait a little longer for a more "conventional" showing, hopefully somewhere in Asheville, or close by...

6. Thanks for keeping me posted. I'd hate to have to shell out $20 for a |
|
movie, plus I don't know how big Diana Wortham Theatre is -wonder if the seating would be pretty limited.
If you hear of it anywhere else around here, please keep us posted
