Winston-Salem is FINALLY rid of Vernon Robinson

Democrat Molly Leight, a political newcomer, muscled Republican Vernon Robinson, a two-term incumbent, off the Winston-Salem City Council yesterday.

Unofficial election results showed Leight winning 1,665 votes to Robinson's 922.

The loss also marks a big turnaround for Robinson just a year after he nearly catapulted himself into the U.S. Congress.

Robinson described himself as the Black Jesse Helms!

Robinson was/is a very mean biggotted fellow.
The Freepers gave him so much money, he almost beat Virginia
Foxx.
