Anyone know which if any NC Churches went along |
|
with NC Republican party requests for membership lists?

1. part of the problem is |
|
even if a "Church" body doesn't, an individual member can give them a church directory.
This happened to us about 8 years ago when a church member sent our church directory to "Good News" - an ultra rightwing conservative group of Methodists. We still get their newsletters after asking repeatedly to be removed from their mailing list. I say "we" - but in actuality - they ONLY send mail addressed to the "man of the house".

2. I'd still like to know what church hierarchies |
|
went along with the request which I consider different than from the membership.

5. Do you 'Return to Sender' this unwanted mail? |
|
AFAIK this would, if they have any sense, get you removed from the list since they have demonstratable proof that you don't want their mail?
Mark.

3. I would really like it if I got more |
|
responses to this. I'm ready to take the gloves off (IRS campaign).

4. I don't think there's any way of |
|
knowing for sure.
I don't believe anyone (Church staff) will advertise the fact that they did this.
But you could probably safely assume SBC churches and any other anti-gay churches would be on that badwagon....
