The "fired' guy standing out front of SAS in Cary |
|
Anyone seen him??? Everyday this week some guy stands across the street from SAS w/ signs that state he was fired by Goodnight because he has HIV. Not surprising seeing that Goodnight is part of the Bush crowd.

He should get together with the guy who protests in front of IBM. He's upset about the way the changed their pension plan to a 401k.
I think the SAS guy has a more valid beef....

An acquaintance of mine works at SAS. She's skeptical. 1. SAS is a pretty progressive place. She's been there a long time, sees lots of Dem and anti Bush stickers in the parking lot. She's never encountered an area in SAS where there's any discrimination of any sort.
2. If the guy had made claims of harassment to HR, HR would not let him be fired unless there was irrefutable cause.
3. If the guy had a valid claim, he wouldn't have to stand out in the sun. His lawyer would be explaining to SAS just how much money they'd be paying his client.
I do feel bad for the guy. I understand that the SAS medical plan is really, really good, and it would be a blow to lose that.
