Has anyone noticed a difference in the Charlotte Observer |
|
since it has become a McClatchy newspaper? Seems like it is smaller, has less news. Or maybe it is just because it is August and everyone is on vacation? Still, seems like it has been a busy news season, lots to cover both nationally and locally.
They need to remember that people who still subscribe to a newspaper do so because they are interested in the news and like to read about it. If they stop publishing news then we tend to lose interest. Besides there are so many other options these days.

1. Honestly, the N&O is a much better paper |
|
And also a McClatchy property.
I dunno what it is, but the CO seems like it's about 10 years behind the N&O in terms of overall quality. For many reasons, you'd think the opposite would be true, but it's not.

2. It seems to be slanting a bit more to the right lately |
|
And yes, it's smaller with much less news. I hate it because we subscribe and it only takes me about 10 minutes to read all of the sections.
