I need a reality check about the Lexington Police giving me a ticket |
|
My truck was described a while back in the "whose truck is this" post on the NC forum. I had an incident with the Lexington police yesterday and wrote about it on that post last night, but I think it just gets lost there. I'm asking for feedback on my perception about what happened. Please go read it. Thanks.

1. I read it. I am not sure you got the ticket |

for your stickers. Although I am not ruling that out, I just think it was dumb bad luck you got pulled just as stuff came out of the bed of your truck.
I don't know the department.
I would take pictures of everything you had to keep stuff in place, show it to the DA when you get to court, be polite, but firm and hope for the best.

After my incident I saw four more flashing lights with drivers being pulled in a 5 or so mile stretch on 52 South. I think the department of police there is making it a dangerous stretch of road for everyone. I'm a little calmed down now but not too much. For me to have done something deliberately and recklessly they would have had to see me throw stuff out the window, LOL, I'm angry at the injustice and the incredibly high amount of money they want for something so unavoidable. Thanks WannaJump. We need to be extra alert on 52 South.

3. sorry about your ticket |

You might want to talk with a lawyer - they may be able to get this thing reduced way down. Generally with a lawyer, you WILL get a reduction, whereas on your own, you MIGHT get a reduction.
But ask around with folks in your town, they may recommend you just go to court yourself.
But I would rather see you have something less than what you are charged with.
