North Dakota's Final Presidential Candidates |
|
According to the Secretary of State, the candidates on the ND ballot this year are as follows:
* Kerry Micheal Petroka ("Constitution Party" Religious Right, anti-Iraq War, anti-free trade) Micheal Badnarik (Libertarian) Ralph Nader
I was thinking about voting for Cobb becuase ND is a 3 electoral vote Bush walkover (beating Bush is important but I can't do it here), but since there's no Green party, there's no Cobb. I like Ralph on the issues, but I have personal feelings about him going to swing states. Should that stop me from voting for him here?

Buchanan got 2.53% in 2000. Bet Peroutka gets 4% this year.

In the unlikely event that Bush wins, it will probably be with a minority of the popular vote. May as well make the gap as big as possible so people can see what a fraud the electoral college is.

I don't think that the electoral college is a sham at all. Think about it - who would give a shit who ND votes for if the electoral college wasn't in place? New York and California would elect presidents - not the other 48 states. Granted, it bit us in the ass the last time, but I don't think it should be thrown out because of it.
BillLanger's opinion: Electoral college = Good.
