3. Yes he does as of June |
|
He has a 71% approval and 22% disapproval, an 8% increase from May. I would expect his CAFTA vote to only help him. He has no drastic black marks that are obvious right now that would somehow make Hoeven appear a better canidiate. http://surveyusa.com/100USSenatorApprovalRatings061305.htm

4. The problem is that Hoeven is extremely popular too. |
|
He's an empty suit, but NoDakers don't mind empty-suit Republicans. See Schaefer, Edward.

5. geek, can I ask you a question? |
|
How do you seem to know so much about North Dakota, its people, its Senators, etc. when you are from NY? I was born there and spent my first 25 years there and the last 6 years moving around the USA and I feel like I've never lived there compared to how much you know. Did you once live in ND?
Oh, and since you brought up Schaefer, I have been trying to remember the guy that was governor back when I was in high school (1989-1992). I sat in his chair and got to meet him (high school trip to Bismarck) but cannot for the life of me remember his name! :grr: Anyway, he was really nice and I had an relative that worked with him.

I think that was George Sinner.
