3 cheers for mail-in voting!

I don't know when ND started it but because of it my dad voted for the first time ever in his 57 years! He was always rather shy about going to the polls before now. Never mind that my parents live in a small town where everyone knows everyone else (including how you are voting anyway!) Never mind that my mom always works at the polls so he shouldn't be shy about not knowing how to do it. Never mind that in North Dakota you don't even need to register. He just didn't do it (and he would have been voting democratic all those years). Now because of mail-in voting he finally did it! He voted for Obama and I have some elderly relatives that voted for democratic by mail when they otherwise wouldn't have made it to the polls either.

I had to vote absentee by email (that doesn't seem right to me) this year but I love going to the polls on election day. I'm glad there are choices though for those that otherwise wouldn't vote.
