okay - a bit dramatic for a title, but a least it made you open the thread... :)
Jennifer Brunner for Secretary of State fundraiser Saturday, August 12, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Richland County Democrats' Headquarters in Mansfield, Tickets are $25 Jennifer will attend. If anyone would like tickets or more information, please pm me.
The integrity of the vote is at the heart of our democracy. One of the most important things we can do to protect the integrity of the vote is to help get Jennifer Brunner elected to the office of the Ohio Secretary of State.
She just may be the most qualified candidate to ever run for the office. She is a former Common Pleas Court Judge, Elections Attorney representing local, statewide and presidential candidates, legislative caucuses, labor unions, businesses, associations, citizen groups and other organizations. She is a former member of the Franklin County Board of Elections, and a former Legislative Counsel and Deputy Director for the Office of Secretary of State.
She is competent, intelligent and has a great deal of integrity. She vows to administer elections in a fair, open and honest manner with a process that can be audited and verified, ensure equal distribution of voting machines and enforce laws against voter intimidation and fraud, honor the role of Secretary of State and not use the office to campaign for issues or candidates.
If you can't make the event but would still like to donate, or volunteer please go to her website at www.jenniferbrunner.com

With Blackwell and the religious reich, If democracy can't be saved in Ohio, it can't be saved anywhere in the US.

I posted another thread in GDP encouraging people to donate or volunteer for Jennifer's campaign and to tell their friends.
I mentioned in that post that I'm doing what I can to improve the integrity of the vote.
I've been pissed off and awe struck that the voting problems in Ohio are not being taken more seriously. The media ignores it, congress is controlled by Republicans that don't care and the Dems are too afraid of being swiftboated or made out to be a crack pot, or they just don't understand... I don't know. I've written letters, but I can't control what the media does nor what Congress does. I can give my money and time to a qualified, excellent candidate that will restore integrity to the voting process in Ohio.
