Franklin/Delaware County voter roll purges concern |
|
I saw that GOP is up to their dirty tricks in Indiana and I'm concerned it will happen here in Ohio. As you probably have seen, the GOP purged voter rolls in Indiana which were most likely Dems. I have sent an email to Delaware County BOE to see if this has ever happened here and if so, are the purged voters notified. I will post their response.
Franklin County is probably more of a target, as it was in 2004 (long voter lines). I am not a resident of Franklin County, so not sure I can do anything. I'm thinking that maybe we should start a grassroots DU effort to protect each county.

1. Not likely in Delaware |
|
Historically, Delaware County NEVER purges its voting lists. We were living in Cuyahoga County for about 6 years. When we moved back to Delaware County, my wife was still on the Delaware list, since she had never voted in Cuyahoga County. She just had to change her address to our current address.
We have some very active DelaDems that are employees of the Board of Elections, so we would expect to hear about any list-purging shenanigans.

2. You are correct about Delaware |
|
I contacted John Myers(D) on the Delaware BOE and he sent back a lengthy detailed replied as to why purging would be hard to do in Ohio. He then went on to tell me about the 2004 GOP tactics of challenges at the polls. So in short, I think you are correct, it sounds like Delaware Dems have a handle on things.
