Caught Blackwell promo on Channel 19 news last night - desperate |
|
I'd say that Ken Blackwell is getting desperate.
He was saying that this should be an election (for governor) dealing with a person's record, not "The war in Iraq, Enron, etc." - in other words, judge him alone instead of the Party convicts that he totally associated with ...
Repukes swept into power in 94 because they could tie the "check-bouncing" scandal of the House to Democrats ... despite the fact that there were plenty of Republicans who also enjoyed that "privilege" (now called overdraft protection) ... There was a concerted effort to keep ALL the offending congresspeople's names out of the public eye ...

1. I'd say your reading of his mental "slip" is accurate |

2. I don't have to rail about the war if Ken Blackwell keeps bringing it up! |
|
Talk about blowing a woofer. Here is Ken Blackwell spending his precious time on "free media", bringing attention to the one issue that will most hurt the Republicans. I'll take it!
I am with you 100% on the overdraft protection story. As I recall, the 'pukes used it to hound Mary Rose Oakar out of her House seat. (Cleveland got two terms of Martin Hoke then Dennis Kucinich ran against him and knocked him out.) The "check-bouncing" story was not even a story, because the overdraft protection was just a Congressional perk.
