A comprehensive list of liberal and conservative organizations in Ohio |
|
I'd like to know if such a thing is available on the "internets". I'm already well aware of several liberal organizations in Ohio (specifically Columbus) like the ACLU, Americans United, numerous GLBT equality organizations, World Can't Wait, etc. Is there any site that exists which has such organizations and more listed? Also, I want to see what the other side is up to and would like to attend an event set up by a local conservative organization to engage in a respectful manner. I know of many national conservative organizations (mostly right-wing Christian, which is not what I have in mind since many just don't want dialogue), but not in Ohio, let alone Columbus. I'd really appreciate this.

1. Due to the nature of campaign finance law |

and the way it changes (and/or the electioneers adapt to it) every election season, these organizations tend to mutate and proliferate. My advice to you is to put your local public library reference librarian on it. You'll never have a truly comprehensive list (actually, that sounds a bit scary, now that I think of it), but you'll get the next best thing (and probably more than you'll ever be able to use).
Report back, would ya? I'd be interested to know just how crazy it's gotten this time around, just in a general way, like if you see patterns (or really scary secret hidden messages--just joking...I think), ergo witness the new Common Sense "we aint gonna disclose our donor list" klan.
Thanks!
